Dear MVC Participants and Guests:
 
The Kansas and Missouri Departments of Transportation are pleased to invite you to participate in the 99th Annual Meeting of the Mississippi Valley Conference of State Highway and Transportation Officials to be held July 7-10, 2008, at the Westin Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri. We are proud to co-host this annual event in Kansas City, a bi-state region renown for its cooperative spirit.  It is within that same unity that our Departments have joined together to bring you an extraordinary conference.
 
The theme of the 2008 conference is “Pioneering Transportation: Technology – Funding – Partnerships” – issues that affect all of us in the transportation field. We will have some excellent speakers focusing on these important topics.
 
For the first time, regular conference sessions will end at 3 p.m. on the first day, allowing participants to tour one of four unique transportation-related locations in the Kansas City metro area. (See Participant Registration Form available soon.) Other “firsts” for the MVC include:

Golf tournament on July 7
Pre-meeting evening reception on July 7
Exhibition Hall with numerous booths
Plenary session every morning with a featured speaker
 
Registered guests also have a full agenda with tours to fabulous museums and Kansas City’s only botanical garden, several shopping trips and much more. (See Guest Registration Form available soon.)
 
And to top it off, get ready for some great barbecue and jazz as our Joint Host State Event will give you a true taste of Kansas City! All participants and registered guests are invited to this spectacular event set for July 9.
